About the Wolf River HUBZone Business Initiative:

Honoring the commitment Wolf River Development Company made to promote, support and foster the establishment of not only tribally owned business, but privately owned businesses on the Menominee Indian Reservation. The first floor of Wolf River Development Company features the Menominee HUBZone Business Center, Training Room, and two Business Incubator Offices. 

HUBZone connects small businesses in historically underutilized communities with federal contracting opportunities, helping create jobs, strengthen local businesses, and keep more economic activity within the community. Businesses that qualify for HUBZone certification can gain advantages when competing for federal contracts. The federal government has a goal of awarding at least 3% of federal prime contracting dollars to HUBZone-certified small businesses. 

Our incubation offices provide a collaborative environment where participants can develop their business ideas, conduct research, and engage in professional or community development. The Incubation offices are open to entrepreneurs, small business founders, researchers, community innovators, and those seeking a short-term workspace to advance their projects. Including Tribal Members and those who service the Menominee Community.

The Menominee HUBZone Business Center combined with business incubator space can be a powerful tool for strengthening our local economy. The benefits extend beyond the businesses themselves and create broader impacts on employment, income, tax revenues, and quality of life.
